David Mark Goodman passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, October 14, 2024, at 2:51am after a 6-week long battle with a severe blood infection which led to endocarditis. David (Dave) was born September 25, 1958, in Kingston, PA. He graduated from N. B. Forrest High School in 1976. He met his wife over CB radio, and they enjoyed a blessed 44 years of marriage. He worked over 37 years for Decision One Technologies as an IT field technician.
Dave will be remembered for his deep love of family, generous spirit, servant's heart, contagious laugh, and goofy personality. Dave lived for family vacations, and he loved being in the mountains of Georgia and Tennessee. He also loved FSU football (go Noles!), pool hangouts, wood working, and he could fix anything with his impeccable handyman skills. Dave's passing reminds us that time is short, family is important, and you must cherish the time that you have together.
Dave accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior, and we are comforted in knowing that he is now in his heavenly home for eternity. Dave's passing leaves a hole in the lives of his loved ones that will never be filled. He was an overall incredible human being who leaves behind a legacy of love and faithfulness.
He was preceded in death by his parents William F. and Betty S. Goodman and his brother, Bill. Surviving is his wife of 44 years, Kelly, two sons; Jared and Jason, two granddaughters; Kinsey and Emilia, brother: Paul, two daughters-in law; Amber and Lexie, and two sisters-in-law; Barbara and Jill and cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, October 21st at Celebration Church in Orange Park (512 Kingsley Ave.). Refreshments and visitation with family will be at 10:00am. The service will begin at 10:30am.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the GoFundMe that has been set up for Dave's widow, Kelly. The funds will help with medical bills and funeral costs. https://www.gofundme.com/f/support-daves-critical-heart-and-brain-recovery

David and his brother Paul were members of first alliance church in Jacksonville Fl. They were both goofy at times. But they always made us laugh.
My condolences to the family.
Praying for a peace from the Lord.
