David G. Grauel October 12, 1934 – September 21, 2025
David Grauel age 90 passed away the morning of September 21, 2025. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He is survived by his wife of more than 60 years Barbara (nee King); son David (Jill), grandchildren Kelly Bartels (Steven) and Matthew Grauel (Carly); great granddaughter Lila Grauel and he was looking forward to meeting baby boy Bartels in January. He is also survived by his sister Kathleen Shannon (Thomas); sister in law Sandra Stauffer (Bill); and brother in law John King (Nancy) along with several nieces and nephews and extended family. He is predeceased by his parents David W. and Marianne Grauel, and his sister Marianne Bay (Ken). David proudly served in the United States Air Force stationed in Greenland during the late 1950s. David enjoyed collecting classic cars and memorabilia and spending time at various car shows. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed swimming. The family would like to thank the staff at Kemper House Highland Heights for their kind, compassionate care of David for the past few weeks. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to a charity of your choice. Family will receive friends on Thursday, September 25, 2025 from 4pm – 7pm at Jakubs & Son Funeral Home, 936 E. 185th Street, Cleveland, OH. Burial will be at 12:45pm, Friday, September 26, 2025 (please meet at the cemetery one hour before the service) at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH.
