Wesley Hogya Obituary
Wesley was born on July 16, 1945, in Painesville to Stephen and Lillian (nee Hokkanen) Hogya (both deceased) and passed away on February 1, 2026.
Wes served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and retired as a business Manager for Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield.
Wes brought laughter everywhere he went, his quick wit and easy humor lifting the spirits of anyone lucky enough to be around him. He found his greatest peace on the waters of Lake Erie, fishing rod in hand and the world slowing down just enough for him to breathe it all in. Above all, he cherished his family, holding them at the center of every joy, every story, and every moment that mattered.
Wesley is the beloved husband of 56 years to Patricia (nee Gurkey) Hogya; loving father of Kim Hogya; cherished brother of Denis Hogya (Wanda, deceased), Giles Hogya (Leslie), and Lynn Hogya (deceased); and proud uncle of many nieces and nephews.
