David Brian Griffin, 66, of Wanamaker, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on May 20, 2025. Born on May 12, 1959, David was the beloved son of the late Robert Louis Griffin and Betty Grace Griffin.
David lived a life defined by hard work and deep love for his family. Over the years, he held many roles—most notably as a Marion County Sheriff’s Deputy and a skilled union tile setter. His hands crafted more than just tile; they helped build a life full of meaning that was filled with family and friends.
David was happiest behind the wheel of his Jeep, flipping burgers on the grill, and enjoying a few Miller Lites with friends and family. His sense of humor, and ability to be the light of the party was one of the many things people loved most about him.
Above all else, David took the most pride in being a father and grandfather. He often said his greatest accomplishments were his two daughters, Breanna L. Bongen (Tyler) and Hanna J. Miller (Ruben). He leaves behind his cherished grandchildren—Carter, Madison, and Ruben—who brought immense joy to his life. He is also survived by his brothers, Philip T. Griffin, and Eric M. Griffin (Gina), along with many extended family members and friends who will miss his steady presence and kind heart.
