David Harry "Dave" Griffin

David (Dave) Griffin, 80, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on December 23, 2025, in Ocala, Florida.

Dave was born in Erie, Pennsylvania, to Russell and Oleda Griffin on April 23, 1945. He went to high school at Lake County High School in Toledo, Ohio, and graduated in 1963. He worked as a CADD draftsman for Kimley-Horn & Associates for 24 years. He enjoyed volunteering at church, participating in mission trips, home repairs, and riding his bike. In his lifetime, he donated over 100 gallons of platelets to local blood banks.

David is survived by his wife, Carolyn, of Ocala, Florida. Dave is also survived by his two children, Joshua and Tiffany Griffin, and his sister Lois Zeeb. He is preceded in death by his sisters Nancy Generoso, Judi Frankforther, Victoria Tampurages, and Janice Rochte.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 2pm, followed by the funeral service at 3pm at Roberts of Ocala Funerals & Cremations at 606 SW 2nd Avenue, Ocala, Florida. The burial will take place at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.

Dave was a brave man, loving husband, and father. He loved the Lord with all his heart and he will be greatly missed.
