David Richard "Grover" Groves

David Richard Groves, affectionately known as "Grover", age 67, of London, was called home on Saturday, November 15, 2025, in Dublin Methodist Hospital

Born January 22, 1958, in Columbus, Ohio, he was a son of Richard Gaylord Groves Sr. and Nancy Ann (Call) Groves.

For many years he worked as a dedicated truck driver, spending countless hours on the road and taking great pride in his work, including his membership in the former Jaycees. His steady hands and dependable spirit made him a trusted colleague and a provider his family could always rely on.

Above all, he was a devoted Jehovah's Witness whose deep faith shaped every part of his life. He found joy in sharing comforting Bible truths with others and offering encouragement to all who crossed his path. His sincerity and love for others touched everyone he came in contact with.

David leaves behind siblings Sonia Arline (Herb) Hazlett, Richard Gaylord (Tracey) Groves, and Kenneth Gaylord Groves; nieces and nephew Rachael Nicole (Lee) Mason, Elizabeth Ashley Hazlett, Jordan Marie Groves, Dreaden Wesley Groves; numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Jacqueline Ann "Jacqui" Groves, and sister-in-law Brenda Groves.

The Groves family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, November 24, 2025, from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio 43140. A funeral ceremony will commence at 1:00 PM in the funeral home with Mr. Bill Wright officiating. Interment will follow in Deercreek Township Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in David's name may be sent to benefit the Madison County Humane Society, 2020 State Route 142 NE, West Jefferson, Ohio 43162.
