David Gene Hagen was born October 3, 1947, and departed this life Monday, May 26, 2025, reaching the age of 77 years. He was the son of (the late) Henry George and Viola Lucille (Chastain) Hagen.
He married Barbara (Riddle) Hagen and to this union four children were born.
He is survived by his wife Barbara (Riddle) Hagen; 1 son, Richard Hagen; 3 daughters, Toni (Clyde) Brittingham, Dena (Brycen) Hagen, and Benji Burchett (Patrick); five grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Landan) Johnson, Noah Burchett, Summer (Kyle) Young, and Larkin Hagen; five great-grandchildren, Lily Young, Klay Young, Colt Johnson, Zack Johnson, and Caroline Johnson; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Claude Edward, Jerry Arthur, and Richard Edward Hagen.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 31, 2025, between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel with cremation afterwards.
Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
