David Allen Hamblin, formerly of Farmington, entered eternal rest on May 23, 2025, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson at the age of 61. He was born on June 7, 1963, in Farmington, to the late Byron Henry and Mary Jane (Coulton) Hamblin.
David retired from Walmart in Farmington after 20 plus years where he served as manager of several departments. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his friends. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Tasmanian Devil fan; he was known as “Tazman” and even had a vehicle dubbed the “Taz mobile”.
David is survived by his children, David “Andy” Andrew Hamblin (wife, Ashtyn) of Fredericktown and Felicia Cavins (husband, Jerry) of Bonne Terre, three grandchildren, Lilian Abigail Hamblin, Xavier Lukas Hamblin, and Logan William Hamblin, along with his friends and Baisch Nursing Home family.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Byron and Mary Jane (Coulton) Hamblin Wilson and his two sisters, Theresa Hamblin and Penny Hamblin.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 12:00pm until time of service at 1:00pm at Cozean Memorial Chapel officiated by Pastor Tim Morgan. Interment to follow at Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Farmington. Memorial donations, if desired, may be made to the American Cancer Society.
