Donna Louise Hamblin

Donna L. Hamblin, 70, of New Britain, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 10, 2026.

Donna was born in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Artelin and Loretta (McGraw) Cote, was raised in Stratford and lived most of her life in New Britian.

Donna was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend. She was a kind and considerate woman who loved her children more than anything. Donna battled a progressive debilitating disease and spent the last fifteen years of her life in a nursing facility. As a single mom, and with courage and humbleness, she did everything in her power to provide for her children, which was not an easy task when MS prevented her from doing so. Donna's strength throughout her life and her dedication to her family inspired her children to be the best they could be every day.

In her younger days, Donna was an excellent singer and enjoyed playing the guitar.

Donna is survived by her children, Heather Hamblin Casiano and her husband Jonthan and Matthew Hamblin; three grandchildren Austin, Aiden, and Ortenzia; her siblings, Patricia Iwasczyszyn and her husband Daniel, and Gary Cote and his wife Iris; nephews, Anthony, Nicholas and his children Devlyn and Sage, and Justin; her niece, Jessica; and a great aunt, Lee DeBernardo.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her younger brother, Brian Cote.

Her service will be private.
