I am so sorry to hear of Dave's passing. He was quite a unique person. Always had a smile on his face and he was extremely easy to talk to. When I first started teaching at Adlai Stevenson Dave was one of the first to welcome me. I always loved his sense of humor. Dave was a tremendous representative of Stevenson High School. A legend who I will never forget. May he Rest In Peace.

Dave had a wonderful smile and love to tell goofy jokes! Great to be around and an inspiring educator. Missed his wisdom when he retired. Peace be with you.

In 1985 Dave and I became teaching colleagues. I was just starting my career as a teacher and Dave was there to lead and encourage me to do my best. Not just for me, but for the benefit of our students. Dave wanted us (the faculty and staff) to be the best.
I remember Dave using "The Paper Chase" TV series in his law classes. He genuinely enjoyed teaching law classes and would often interject law principles into our conversations. I´ll never forget Dave sharing one of his favorite law firms: "Dewey, Cheatem, and Howe."
Dave will be remembered for his wit and humor and all-around nice guy. He will be missed but memories of him cherished. Our hearts are with Jane Anne and may peace be with you.

Jane Anne Please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of Dave. Dave´s legacy at Stevenson HS will be long remembered. When I started at SHS in the fall of 1971 Dave was one of those welcoming staff members who genuinely made me feel "at home". His sense of humor, work ethic, integrity, and authenticity were appreciated by so many of us. My thoughts and prayers remain with you during this time. Ron Urick

Dave was truly a dedicated supporter of Stevenson students. I so enjoyed our conversations and his passion for ensuring that all students have the opportunity to pursue their goals and dreams, whatever those may be. We're honored to play a small part in celebrating his storied life and legacy!
