David Hardy Obituary
David Hardy, 67, of Sanford passed away Monday March 13, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday March 15, 2023 Rogers Pickard Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Buffalo Cemetery.
Mr. Hardy was born in Davidson Co. to the late Harvey Lee Hardy and Rebecca Ann Hall Hardy. David was a hard worker who loved to stay busy. He was carpenter who taught himself to weld and set homes for Vanderbilt for many years. He loved sitting on his porch listening to the “swap shop” and waving at the neighbors passing by. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Jerry Lynn Hardy and Harvey Lynn Hardy; and sisters Annie Hardy Richardson and Pansy H. Byrd.
He is survived by his wife Nancy Hardy; daughter Susan Hardy; son David Hardy (Harley); sister Peggy H. Kennison (Gary); brother Terry Glen Hardy (Dana); grandchildren Kayla Wehrly (Parker), Addison Bryant, and Riley Hardy; and step grandchildren Lucas and Cheyenne.
The family will receive friends starting at 12:30 pm Wednesday at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home before the service.
