David Michael "Mike" Harmon

David Michael Harmon "Mike" was born to David and Jennie Harmon on August 13, 1947, in Paducah KY. He is survived by his wife of 44 years Donna, and his two sons Davin Smith (Angie) and Derek Smith (Sherri) and six precious grandchildren who he adored, Eliza, McKenna, Marley, Jet, Dalton, and Harmon.

Mike graduated from Paducah Tilghman High School and went on to earn a master's degree in education from Murray State University and a master's in religious education from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Mike loved Jesus with all his heart and committed his life to serving Him. He was blessed to serve in various associate pastor roles at Westend Baptist Church, Paducah Ky, Graefenburg Baptist Church, Waddy Ky, Broadway Baptist Church Lexington KY, First Baptist Princeton KY, First Baptist Mt Sterling KY, and Calvary Baptist Bastrop TX. He was also blessed to serve as a consultant to the KY Baptist Convention and on the Board of the Western Recorder. Prior to entering the ministry, he taught math at Paducah Tilghman High School for nine years.

His life purpose was to teach Jesus and to equip others to do the same.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Jane DeJarnett, brother Wayne and his in-laws Henry and Elizabeth Canupp.

Visitation will be from 11:00am - 1:00pm, Thursday, October 9, 2025 at Ratterman Brothers, East Louisville (12900 Shelbyville Road, Louisville, KY 40243) with funeral service to begin at 1:00pm and burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North American Mission Board or Samaritan's Purse. Helping share Jesus around the world
