MOORESBORO- David Hartman, a loving husband, father, and grandpa, passed away on October 12, 2025, at the age of 62 in Mooresboro. Born in Palm Beach County, Florida, on November 12, 1962, David lived a life rich with love, laughter, and a profound appreciation for the simple joys of life.
Throughout his years, David found delight in the art of woodworking, where he skillfully crafted pieces that will be cherished for generations. His passion for travel was shared with his beloved wife of 43 years, Gloria Hartman, as they explored the world together, collecting memories that wove the fabric of their extraordinary journey through life.
David's culinary talents brought joy to family gatherings as he loved to cook and expertly smoke delicious meals on his smoker. His green thumb was evident in the vibrant gardens he tended, creating a haven not only for his family but also for the birds and deer he loved to feed and watch. His dogs were more than pets; they were family, spoiled and adored by a man who had a boundless capacity for love.
He was preceded in death by his father, John "Jack" Hartman. David is survived by his devoted wife, Gloria, and their cherished children: sons Nick Hartman and his wife Tracey, George Hartman and his wife Nikki, Stephen Hartman and his wife Tonya, and daughter Catherine Hartman and her fiancé Vinny. He also leaves behind his loving mother, Ginny Camp, and her husband Wayne; his brothers, Rob (and wife Kathleen) and Chris (and wife Lisa), and his sister Deb Hartman. David was a proud grandpa to his grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Autumn, Elizabeth, Kayleigh, CJ, Weston, and Tesla, who were the light of his life.
