David W. Heeter, 59, of Annville passed away on Sunday, June 29th, 2025, at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Holly E. (Gates) Heeter. Born in Lebanon, PA on August 28th, 1965, he was the son of William H. and Eileen J. (Boland) Heeter of Annville. Surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters, Paige E. Heeter of New York, Addison L. Heeter of Philadelphia, Kendall S. Heeter of Annville, two sisters, Joyce E. Felty, wife of Dana of Annville, Laurie A. Brown, wife of Dwayne of Manheim, and several nieces and nephews.
He was a 1983 Graduate of Annville-Cleona High School, a 1987 graduate of Millersville University with a degree in Biology, and a 1990 graduate of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dave has been practicing medicine as a family physician for 35 years. He took great pride in his work and loved his patients. Dave was a kind and loving man, and a great comfort to those around him. He made sure to take care of the people he loved.
His greatest accomplishment was his girls, whom he loved with all his heart. He is so proud of each of them. Dave enjoyed spending time with his wife, daughters, family, friends, and his 6 pets. He was very active with his outside projects, mini orchard, garden, flowers, and lawn. Dave was a passionate Steelers fan along with his mother and would never miss a game. He also loved to golf, and brewery hop with his "bros." Dave was excited about exploring new places and taking his family on trips, likely collecting a new hat or trinket along the way. He treasured his many collections of holiday houses, trains, games, cards, and sports memorabilia.
Dave loved to spend time at the beach with his family, beer, and a fishing pole. He married the love of his life, Holly, on the beach in Ocean City, Maryland. His family and friends will remember his fun and competitive nature, and he was always up for a good board game. Every moment and memory with him will be cherished forever, and he will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arbor Day Foundation.
A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 6:00PM on Tuesday, July 8th, 2025, at Miller Chapel on the campus of Lebanon Valley College, E. Sheridan Ave., Annville, PA 17003. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Mt. Annville Cemetery. Kreamer Funeral Home, Annville is handling arrangements.

Dr Heeter was my doctor for almost 30 years. He was in midget sports when my kids were. He was an excellent doctor and I am devastated that he has passed. My sincere wishes of recovery from pain and grief to his family. God keep him close.

Dr. Dave Heeter has been my Family Doctor since he commenced his career with Annville Family Practice in the 1990s. He was an outstanding Primary Care Physician who worked closely with me to control my medical conditions. Always smiling, and willing to actually listen to my questions and concerns regarding medications, shots, and various therapies. His patients and his family was the focus of his life. I will cherish my fond memories of him and his graceful manner. Condolenscenes to his family, co-workers, friends and to all who had the pleasure to know him. He will be sorely missed.

My name is Florence Rittle (Flo). I was a patient of Dr heater. He was the best family doctor I had. I never felt rushed when I was with him he took the time to listen to what was wrong and find out what was going on. I will miss him very very much I can't even imagine when I need to make an appointment and it will have to be with someone other than Dr heater. When I got that letter in the mail I never expected it would be telling me Dr heater passed away. My condolences goes with his wife and his three daughters and the rest of his family. I know it is going to be rough but eventually your memories will help with the loss that is so heavy in all of our hearts.

I just opened up a letter from UPMC that was in my mail from yesterday. It hasn't sunk in yet and I think I'm in a state of shock. Dr. Heeter was my PCP for the past 14 years. Best doctor I ever had. I'm 73 years old now and had a problem with high blood pressure since I was in my 30's. Dr. Heeter found the right combination of medicines, 3 of them, and my blood pressure is better now, than it was in my 20's! He never rushed me out of my appointments and always had time to listen to whatever was bothering me, even some non-medical problems! I have an appointment scheduled with him for August 8th, and am going to be quite "shaken up" when he doesn't come into the room. My thoughts and prayers are with you and all your family!
