David Henry Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by A Natural State Funeral Service & Crematory on Feb. 18, 2026.
In remembering a life so beautifully lived, we choose to celebrate not just the sorrow of loss, but the joy of presence. David Henry was a man of quiet strength, deep compassion, and unwavering love. To know him was to know kindness, the kind that showed up without being asked, that listened without judgment, and that gave without expecting anything in return.

David loved his family deeply and leaves to cherish his memories by three daughters Marquita Washington, Melissa Washington Conway, AR and Christina Felton Little Rock, AR; one son Michael Washington McGehee, AR; five brothers Willie Henry McGehee AR, Milton Henry (Lula) Kansas City, KS, Jerry Henry(Sandra) Lexa, AR, Paul Henry (Shekeyla) Pine Bluff, AR, Harrell Henry McGehee, AR; five sisters Almer Henry McGehee, AR, Lois Fields Conway, AR, Lola Henry McGehee, AR, Vera Henry Jordan Lake Village, AR and Loretta Jackson Lake Village, AR and 12 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

David was born May 22nd, 1962 to Margaret and Willie B. Henry in Dermott, AR. Passed away on February 11th, 2026 in Conway, AR. David attended high school in McGehee and worked on the farm. From an early age, he learned the values of hard work and perseverance, traits that he carried with him throughout his life. His dedication to his family was evident in everything he did. In his free time, David had a passion for fishing and deer hunting and could often be found with family and friends, sharing stories and laughter. He also watched westerns and comedies and had a knack for recounting the plots with a flair that made everyone feel as though they were right there with him. His love for storytelling was matched only by his ability to listen, always offering a kind ear and wise counsel to those who sought his advice.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2026 at 10:00am in the chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville.
