Mary Jo Hodges Langley, 82, died February 18, 2026, at her residence. Visitation is Friday, February 20, 2026, 10:00am - 11:00am at Meredith Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, MS. Memorial service will be held at 11:00am Friday, February 20, 2026, at Meredith Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, MS with burial in the Indianola Cemetery in Indianola, MS. Meredith Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, MS is handling the arrangements.
Mary Jo was the co-owner and operator of Pecan Meadows, Skate City, and Clarksdale Tile.
Survivors include her sons Jack Langley of Clarksdale, MS, David (Tammy) Langley of Conway, AR; daughters Dana (Ricky) Lewis of Moon Lake, MS, Lazette Langley Phillips of Baton Rouge, LA; three grandchildren, Reese Langley, Tyler Langley, Jordan Wilkinson; her loving caregivers who became family, Lanita Hill, Linda Melton & Tometha Logan.
Preceded in death by her husband Leon Langley; parents Irvin & Marie Smith Hodges; brothers James Hodges, Tom Hodges, Herbert Hodges; sisters Ruth Box, Bernice Bishop, Earlene Sullivan, Katherine McDonald.

Loved Mrs.Jo!! I think everyone in town did!! She was always smiling and kind to everyone she met! My Mamma, Lynda Murrah, had a great friend in Jo! Mrs. Jo could laugh and talk to any age group! My Mamma had coffee at Rest Haven almost on a daily basis; I called her lady friends" the coffee club" and was so proud to be an " honorary member" on occasion! I grew up with Mamma´s friends, moved away, I have missed them all greatly! Mrs. Jo is in heaven with Jesus! What a wonderful place to be! My sincere condolences to her children and grands! I loved your daddy too!! God will give you peace.
