It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Henshaw, 63, who passed away peacefully at Highpoint Hospice House in Haverhill, MA surrounded by family on July 21, 2025. He was the son of the late Richard and Elizabeth (MacLeod) Henshaw of Danvers, MA. David grew up in Danvers, MA and graduated from Danvers High School. David was self-employed as a contractor and painter, but his true passion was his music.
David’s greatest joy was his 2 children, Michael and Nina Henshaw of Merrimac, MA. He was a devoted father who cherished every moment with his children. They loved the time spent with their dad, whether it be enjoying his countless stories, cooking sessions, “jam” sessions and many other activities they did with him. He will be deeply missed by his children who will carry his love and legacy in their hearts.
He is also survived by his brothers Richard Henshaw, Jr. and wife Vicki of Rowley, MA, Wayne Henshaw and wife Kerri of Groveland, MA and sisters Priscilla Harding and husband Stig of Dunbarton, NH, and Diane Lonergan and husband Daniel of Ipswich, MA, as well as many nieces and nephews. David is also survived by the mother of his children, Kristen Cote and husband Keith of Merrimac, MA.
Visiting hours will be held at Paul C Rogers & Sons Funeral Home at 36 W Main St, Merrimac MA on Friday July 25th from 5-8pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to High Pointe Hospice, 360 North Ave, Haverhill, MA 01830.
