David D Herd

David Douglas Herd II, age 65, passed away in Columbia, Missouri on Wednesday, March 29th, 2023. David was born in St. Andrews, Scotland to David Herd Sr. and Elizabeth Taylor.
David grew up in St. Andrews, Scotland, attended and graduated Kilrymont High School in 1973. After graduating high school David furthered his education by attending Dundee Technical College in Dundee, Scotland. He graduated in 1976 and began his career and a carpenter joiner. Eventually he started his own business as a building contractor until he retired at sixty.
In 1978, David married the love of his life Christine Elizabeth Main in Cellardyke, Scotland. They began their life together and from this union they had David James and Christie Sian.
In his free time David enjoyed playing as well as watching golf. He loved watching football (soccer) especially his favorite team The Celtic Football Club commonly known as Celtic. David also liked traveling across the United States and Europe in an RV. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and his grandchildren.
David is survived by his wife Christine Elizabeth Herd of Columbia, Missouri, his son, David James Herd, his daughter, Christie Sian Darby, his grandchildren, Logan David and Cooper Scot Herd, his sister Christine Peattie, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
David is preceded in death by his parents David and Elizabeth, and his brother James.
Funeral Service for David will begin at 10:00 a.m. (4:00 p.m. GMT) for those viewing from the UK on Tuesday, April 4th, 2023, at Parker-Millard Funeral Service in Columbia, Missouri. The service will be live streamed via the link on our website.
