David Hershy Obituary
David Lawrence Hershy, 69, of Binghamton, NY, passed away on March 12, 2025. Born on May 8, 1955, in Brooklyn, NY, David lived a life full of creativity, joy, and deep love for his family.
An accomplished photographer for much of his career, David had an exceptional eye for capturing life's moments, big and small. Later, he transitioned into web design, bringing his artistic talent and technical skills together.
David had a passion for life that was infectious. He felt the freest on the open road-especially when driving his Jeep through rugged terrain. A true connoisseur of gourmet food, he was a skilled cook and sourdough baker. He loved all things spicy!
Throughout his courageous battle with cancer, David touched the lives of multitudes in person and online with his positive message to "Live, laugh, love and thrive". David's adventurous spirit, creativity, and warmth will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his daughter, Rachel, her fiancé John, and his beloved granddaughter, Esther; and his son, Martin, and Martin's wife, Michele. He also leaves behind his brother, Robert, and Robert's wife, Michelle, along with their children, Alexa, Evan, and Adam; his sister, Miriam; his dear girlfriend, Anastasia, and her children, Jamison and Ella.
