David James Heston

On March 28, 2026 David James Heston, 86 of Forest Hill, Maryland received his Crown of Glory. He was the beloved husband of Patti Heston and the late Becky Heston. He was the devoted and loving father of Art Heston (Debbie), Kristina Fender, Dan Heston (Prudence) and loving stepfather to Jennifer McDonnell (Kevin), Julie Kolb (Jim), and Jeremy McDonnell (Gina). He was the proud Papa of Jake, Samantha and Sadie Heston and loving step-grandfather to Charlie, Mark, Max, Hannah, Riley and Maddy. He is also survived by his two brothers Don and Tom Heston

Dave was a graduate of Penn State University with a degree in Mechanical Design Engineering. He designed for a living and as a hobby. He is most noted for his wooden birdhouses with license plates as a roof. They were a best seller at church flea markets.

Dave loved nature and being outside, he loved playing the harmonica, his old Ford pickup truck, riding old trains and traveling. He was always cheering on the grandkids at 4 H events, school concerts and sports events, especially high school football games. He was a man of great faith and over the past few years enjoyed his Wednesday morning coffee and Bible study with the Men of Wisdom.

A Celebration of Life will take place at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Bel Air. Date to be determined.
