David graduated from Cherry Creek High School in 1980 and shortly after joined the US Airforce working as a Jet Engine Mechanic. This came as no surprise; as David grew up working on Model T's with his father. After his honorable discharge four years later, he was able to pursue his true passion; skiing. He lived in and explored many different ski towns in Utah and Colorado such as Breckenridge, Park City and Steamboat.
David was a beloved father to his only son, Harrison Stout and his fiance Madison Skeen. David had so much love for his siblings, Terri and Ron Dowling, Carrie and Bill Shoaf, and Pete and Jackie Heuer as well as the rest of his family; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins alike.
David's infectious zest for life often pulled in his many friends and family to embark on these adventures. There wasn't an unmarked road, trail or river that was left untouched. As we all know, David was a jack of all trades; there wasn't anything he couldn't fix, or anything he couldn't do. This led him to helping members of his community with various home remodeling projects, such as tile work, drywall and painting; if it was broken, David could fix it (with or without a manual).
If David wasn't on the slopes, or out exploring the outdoors, he was easily found at local establishments, making friends with everyone he met. David was loved by everyone, and will be deeply missed by every person and community he touched. David was always just a phone call away, and the first to arrive whenever someone was in need.
There will be no services at this time. The family plans to have a celebration of life late 2025, pending details.
