David M. Hilston

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Matthew Hilston, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. David passed peacefully on Thursday February 6th, surrounded by his loving family. Born Sept. 17, 1937, in Painesville to Andrew and Vieno (nee: Lahti) Hilston, he had been a lifelong area resident. David was a pillar of kindness and love in our family and community. Always offering a warm smile and a helping hand. David was a man of honor and dedication, having proudly served in the United States Army before embarking on his career at Uniroyal. Survivors include his daughter Tina (Dennis) Dodd of Madison; granddaughters Taylor (Peyton Echols) Dodd & Amanda (Bucky) Gallegos; great-grandchildren Isaac Trevino, Lilah & Carson Gallegos. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant baby brother and his wife Louella (nee: Oldaker) Hilston. A celebration of life will be held privately by the family. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in his honor. Services entrusted to the Potti & Marc F.
