Funeral services for David E. "Peepaw" Hogan are scheduled for 2 PM Monday, July 28, 2025, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, prior to the service, beginning at 12 noon.
Mr. Hogan, a resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Friday, July 25, 2025, at the age of eighty-one. He loved gardening and was known for being a jokester! Mr. Hogan loved his family dearly and showed many acts of kindness throughout the years. He was NEVER wrong and had no doubt about being the absolute "Prettiest." Mr. Hogan will be missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him!
He is survived by his children, Patti Anne Hickman, Tesha Hawkins, and husband John, Tammy Martin, and husband Danny, and Leonard McMillan, and wife Paula; sister, Juliet "Dober" Marshall; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Mr. Hogan is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Birdie Harris Hogan; children, Mark "Bo" Hogan, Angel Wall, Chris Brewster; siblings, Varnice Orr Harden, Floyie Hickman, Emmie Ray, Steve Hogan, and Jake Hogan.
Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Waller, David Van Marshall, Rodney Posey, J.D. Hawkins, Deonte Adams, and John Hawkins.
