LYNN EDWARD EPPINETTE

COX FUNERAL HOME

BASTROP, LOUISIANA

Graveside funeral services with military funeral honors for Lynn Edward Eppinette will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, July 31, 2025 at the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Rayville, Louisiana with Bro. Dennis Hackler officiating. Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop.

Lynn was born in Bastrop, Louisiana on September 9, 1946 to the late Louis Vernon and Mabel Cox Eppinette. He passed away on July 22, 2025 at the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Home in Monroe, Louisiana. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his brother William Robert "Billy" Eppinette.

Lynn met and married Vivian Butler in February 1966 before being drafted and inducted into the United States Army where he served in Vietnam as a helicopter mechanic. After his discharge he returned to Bastrop and began his career as a paper machine operator for International Paper Company. During his employment with the paper mill he also served his co-workers as a safety manager and Union president. Lynn was a devoted member and deacon of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church faithfully serving as a Sunday School leader, a position he greatly loved. He also loved being in the outdoors and was especially fond of every opportunity he had to go fishing.

Mr. Eppinette is survived by his wife of 59 years, Vivian Eppinette; his son and daughter-in-law, Chance Wade Eppinette and Tabatha Diel Eppinette; and his two grandchildren, whom is was most proud of, Brock Emory Eppinette and Bradie Emersyn Eppinette. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Tina Barfield Eppinette; niece, Jamie Eppinette; great-niece, Kia Eppinette; and numerous cousins, extended family, and many friends.

Honored to be serving as pallbearers are Brock Eppinette, Scott Broussard, Clark Turner, Jack Henry Turner, Sterling Turner, Timothy Butler, and Brandon Stevenson.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Home the loving care and attention Lynn received. Also, many thanks to Allegiance Hospice and Healthcare for their wonderful care.

For those who wish, the family suggest planned memorials be made to the veterans benevolent fund at the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Home, 6700 US 165, Monroe, Louisiana 71203 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
