Funeral services for Perry Eppinette will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Monroe. Officiants will be Bro. Bill Fowler, Bro. Jarrod Hawthorne and Bro. Danny Hawthorne. Interment will follow at Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Rayville, Louisiana. Visitation will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home,
Monroe, Louisiana. Perry Eppinette, age 79, was born on September 20, 1946 in
Archibald, Louisiana and passed away January 4, 2026 peacefully in his home in
Monroe, Louisiana with his family by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leamon Eppinette and Jewel Dora Conrad Eppinette and brother, Mike Eppinette.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Kay Warlick Eppinette; son, Bryan Eppinette of
Monroe, LA; daughter, Casey Eppinette of
St. Joseph, LA; grandsons, Jude and Nolan Eppinette of
Monroe, LA and Dane Bullock of
St. Joseph, LA; granddaughters, Kyleigh Martien of
Bastrop, LA and Adi Jones of
Sterlington, LA; twin brother, Jerry Eppinette (Glenda) of
Sterlington, LA; brother, Connie (Peggy) of
Archibald, LA; sisters, Barbara Goleman (Tommy) of West
Monroe, LA and Judy Windham of
Monroe, LA; sisters-in-law, Sue Warlick Strickland (Rick) of
Monroe, LA and Gay Warlick Braswell (Lloyd) of
Pearl, MS; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Perry attended Ouachita Parish High School and held a track record at OPHS for over 20 years. He attended Southern Arkansas University, Northeast Louisiana University and Delta Vocational School. He worked as HVAC – Electrician and owner of Eppinette's Heating and Air and was a member of the Pipefitters Union.
Perry served proudly in the United States Army from September, 1967 until April, 1969. He served in South Korea during the Vietnam Conflict as a member of the artillery Unit-Cannon Detail and was honorably discharged at the rank of Sgt. E5.
He was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church, and several Gospel Singing groups over the years. Perry was technical director for two youth singing groups – God's Little People and Dixieland Patriots that performed across the south and Washington, D.C. He was honored as Tensas Parish Citizen of the Year for his work with youth. He served as a deacon in every church he attended.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Knighton, Tommy Phillips, James Freeman, Tommy Goleman, Rick Strickland and Stokes Roberts.
Honorary pallbearers will be nephews, Robby Simmons and Jimmy Simmons.
