David Edward Hope

David Hope passed away too soon on November 19, 2022, at the age of 28. Born and raised in Warminster, Pennsylvania, he was a 2013 graduate of William Tennent High School. Dave was a hardworking manager at Sherwin Williams. But perhaps the role he was most proud of was that of a happily married, loyal husband, excitedly awaiting the arrival of his son, baby Hope. He also loved his fur babies, Louie and Ollie.
Time together with his family meant the world to him. He was a loving husband, son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, and son-in-law. He enjoyed many family vacations and was the comedian of the family. Being unapologetically himself, silly and carefree, he loved making people laugh. He was an encouraging friend who had a caring and forgiving soul. Dave never left anyone without a hug, or saying to them, "I love you."
Dave was a passionate 4-for-4 Philly sports fan, with a devotion to knowing the statistics to all-things sports. He was a frequent caller to sports radio as "Big Dave from Mayfair." Dave was a self-taught guitarist, with a thirst for knowledge, whether it was in sports, music, history, or politics. He was extremely proud to be an American and was an elected committee person for the 64th Republican Ward of Philadelphia.
Dave is survived by his wife, Macy Hope, and his unborn son. He is also survived by his parents, Mary Wharton, Michael Wharton, Charles Hope, and Laura Hope; his grandparents, Susan Hawkins, David Hawkins, Charles Hope Sr., Donna Hope, Maggie Steur, and Harold Chatburn; his siblings Rhiannon Hope, Christopher Hope, Andrew Wharton, and Kate Wharton. Dave is predeceased by his great- grandmother, Mary Sheaffer, grandmother, Judith Chatburn, and grandfather, Randy J. Pellegrini. Dave was also loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins, his in-laws, nieces, nephews, fur babies, and friends.
Dave is deeply missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him, but we know he is at peace in heaven.
Family and friends are invited to Dave's Life Celebration on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, from 10:30am to 1:00pm at Dunn-Givnish Funeral Home, 378 South Bellevue Avenue, Langhorne, PA 19047. His funeral service will follow immediately afterward at 1:00pm.
