David S. Hoyle, born on December 17, 1953, in Springfield, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2025, in Covington, Ohio.

David began his educational journey at Springfield High School, graduating in 1970. He went on to pursue higher education, earning an Electrical Engineering degree from Clark State Community College in 1982 and a Mechanical Engineering degree from Clark State University in 1983. His technical expertise led him to a successful career in engineering, where he served as the Test Engineering Group Leader for Diconix from 1984 to 1989 and later worked as a Senior Engineering Technician for PMI Food Equipment from 1988 to 1992.

In addition to his professional achievements, David also proudly served in the United States Navy as an Electrician's Mate from 1976 to 1982. His service was honored with the National Defense Service Medal, a testament to his dedication to his country.

David was well-regarded for his loyalty and compassion, particularly towards those less fortunate. His creative spirit found expression through various hobbies; he took great satisfaction in remodeling his late grandparents’ house and was known for crafting exquisite stained glass display pieces. An avid reader, David had a particular affinity for novels about the Old West, as well as American and world history. He also passionately supported the Cincinnati Bengals "Who Dey", demonstrating his love for sports.

David is survived by his siblings, Stephanie (Paul) Smith, Joe Hoyle, and Sandy (Adolph) Greenberg. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Martha Hoyle, and his brother, Walter Gerald Hoyle.

A visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton Xenia Rd) on Wednesday March 26, 2025 at 11:30 am with a memorial service to follow at 12:30 pm. He will be laid to rest at Dayton National Cemetery.
