David Hume Obituary
David was born July 27, 1938, son of James and Mabel Childs Hume.
He was a retired registered pharmacist and former owner of Hume Pharmacy and Medical Towers Pharmacy. David served in the U.S. Army as an instructor in the Army Air Defense School. He was a member of West Broadway Baptist Church. He faithfully served as a deacon and taught Sunday School for 60 years.
Survivors include his wife, Tillie Ann Blacketer Hume; children, Deedee Stoltz (Kevin), Mark Hume (Cathy) and Jeff Hume (Kim); grandchildren, Whitney Fowler (Creed), Paige Stoltz, Adam Hume, Luke Stoltz (Briana), Zachary Hume (Sarah), Emma Hume, Kyle Hume (Renee) and Caroline Hume; great grandchildren, Caleb Fowler, Luke Fowler, Tilly Stoltz, Cooper Stoltz, Emery Stoltz, and Eden Hume; and brother, James Hume (Jane).
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 30, 2025 starting at 2:00PM at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky with the funeral service immediately following at 6:00 PM. A private burial will be at Lebanon National Cemetery, Lebanon, Kentucky.
In lieu of flowers, please consider contribution to The Wounded Warrior Project or West Broadway Baptist Church.
