Obituary published on Legacy.com by Fern Creek Funeral Home - Louisville on Jan. 30, 2026.
William Levi "Spike" Ernspiker, 65, died Thursday, January 29, 2026.

He was born June 28, 1960, son of the late James W. and Verna Frederick Ernspiker. Early in life, William earned the nickname Spike. He was a graduate of Tully School and worked for many years at Independent Industries.

Spike loved Elvis Presley, KISS, antique cars and the "old" WWE. But he mostly loved his family. He enjoyed eating out, adventures and everyday he greeted his sister with "Where are we going today?".

He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, with whom he lived, Ramona and Thomas Cundiff and nephews, Clark and Christopher Cundiff.

His funeral is 4pm Friday, February 6, 2026 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road. Visitation is after 10am until the time of the funeral. Burial is private.

In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions to the family c/o the funeral home to help with his funeral and burial expenses.

A Tribute to Spikey

S is for his Smile, warm and inviting, giving hugs to all, a warm and friendly call

P is for his Passion, one of timeless Fashion, the way he spread his love for his Father up above

I for his Intuition, surely a Godly ambition, insights we cannot understand, a true work from our Father's hand

K for his Kindness and Generosity, the innocence of a child in Spike you did see

E for the Embodiment of Christ for all to see, Spike's nature, love for all, his humility

Y is for his youthful Spirit and tranquility, a calm and inner peace, for all to see.

Rest in Peace our dear brother, God has prepared a place for you, with Mom and Dad at your side, A love forever true!

May God wrap His loving arms around you at this time!
