CLARENCE ANTHONY "TONY" ERNSPIKER, 66, Born June 29, 1959 in Covington, KY, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2025 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital surrounded by his family.
Tony was a lifelong resident of J-town, he attended J-town high school, where he played football, baseball and sang in the choir. He attended Eastern Kentucky University for two years and acted in plays for the Louisville opera. He was the defensive coordinator for years at J-town youth football, where he met and fell in love with his wife. He also coached youth baseball and basketball and coached football at J-town high school as well. He was also a father figure to numerous young boys and men, several of whom lived with his family. Tony was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 3903 and served on several committees under the current J-town administration which was a great honor for him.
Over the years he worked at insurance companies, cable companies, and O'reilly auto parts, as well as transporting special needs adults to their day programs, but his favorite occupation was co-owner of Bud's Tavern J-town where he performed maintenance, lawn care, clean up and worked as the official greeter. He loved to sing especially Elvis songs. He never met a stranger and was always ready to sit down and chat. He was a social butterfly.
Tony is preceded in death by his parents Andrew Douglas "Doug" Ernspiker and Lydia Frances Ernspiker; and his brothers David and Gary Ernspiker.

Prayers for your family. I first met Tony at their childhood home. Gary and I came in the front door and Tony was coming down the stairs singing an Elvis song!! I'll always remember that.
