Maurice B. Clark Jr., of Smithfield, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2025. He was born on January 2, 1932, to the late Maurice Belnap Clark Sr. and Verle Mildred Clark.

Maurice proudly served his country in the United States Army, and was a proud and honorable veteran. A man of integrity and quiet strength, he lived a life rooted in faith, family, and hard work.

He is survived by his loving children, Michael Brian Clark (Angeline) and Karen McMillan (Jack); his cherished grandson, Reid Webb (Rachelle); and his adored great-grandchildren, Nate Webb and Chloe Webb.

Maurice was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nancye Ruth Meek Clark, his brother, Gene Clark, and his sister, Linda Noel.

A former farmer, Maurice found peace and purpose in the land he worked and the community he loved. He was a manager for Citizens Bank in New Castle and Pendleton. He was a loyal University of Kentucky Wildcats fan and shared a special bond with his faithful grandpup, Pippin, who brought him great comfort and joy.

Maurice’s faith was central to his life, and he was a devoted supporter of Eminence Christian Church. The family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the church in his honor. 5333 South Main Street, Eminence, Kentucky 40019.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Smithfield Cemetery. Refreshments will take place at Mr. Clarks house after the brief graveside service.

Maurice will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, loyal friend, and faithful servant of God. His gentle spirit, strong character, and unwavering faith will continue to inspire all who knew and loved him.
