He was born on August 5, 1941 in Louisville to the late Ursula Hargadon Beatty and Oren A. Beatty, M.D.
He worked as an IT Network Administrator for the Census Bureau, where he retired after 30 + years.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, David Fennell.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Frances "Fran" Hazleton Beatty; sons, Terence (Mandy), Daniel, Joseph, and John Beatty; grandchildren, Eli, Josh, Ben, Aiden, Sophia, Louisa, William and Anna; siblings, David Beatty (Nora), Richard Beatty (Lucretia), Eileen Biagi (Arch), Marilyn Beatty, Francie Freitas (Bill), Margie Beatty, Therese Lynch (Jerry), and Maura Fennell; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Friday at Ratterman & Sons Jeffersontown Funeral Home 10600 Taylorsville Road with his funeral service to begin at 6 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Calvary Cemetery 1600 Newburg Road.
Memorial gifts may be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
