Anna Jane, born on August 14th, 1931, in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, to the late John H. and M. Margaret (Roberts) Morris, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 8th, 2025, at the age of 93. Anna was a devoted and loving person and held dear by those who knew her.
Anna was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years Kenneth W. (Ken) Beatty Sr., who passed away in 2020. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Joy Beatty-Glover who passed away in 2014. Additionally, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Robert (Bob) Morris (2014) & Raymond E. (Ray) Morris (2004), with whom she shared wonderful childhood memories.
Anna leaves behind her son Kenneth W. (Bill) Beatty Jr. and daughter-in-law E. Ann Wood-Beatty, her daughter Darla J. Beatty and son R. Scott Beatty. Granddaughter Korie A. (Brandon) Gibbs, grandson Kenton (& Jess) Glover. She is also survived by her great-grandsons Braydon, Huxley, Jackson Glover, & Grayson Gibbs and multiple nieces, and nephews with extended family members.
Anna was an extraordinary woman who made a significant impact on the world. Known for her strength, independence, kindness, and caring nature, she brought joy to those she met. Highly social and hardworking, she was frugal, smart, and a perfectionist, traits that complemented her many talents, including being a skilled seamstress and beautician. A dedicated member of the Nazarene church, where she taught Sunday School in her younger years.
Anna encouraged her children and grandchildren to pursue their dreams and use their natural talents. She took pride in her children's and grandchildren's hard work, and success. She cherished spending Christmas with her family and enjoyed time with friends. Anna loved playing cards, which she enjoyed for decades.
Her life was one of service, love, and laughter, leaving a lasting legacy of valuable contributions to others. Her life was well-lived, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Anna will be interred at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Livonia, Michigan, alongside her husband Ken and daughter Karen.
