Robert Lee (Bob) Harbison, Sr., peacefully passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at the age of 87.

Bob was born on October 22, 1938 to Joseph Fielding Harbison, Sr. and Myrtle Ruth Slagle Harbison in Louisville, Kentucky. He graduated from Ahrens Vocational School in 1957. His career path led him from the L&N Railroad and American Synthetic Rubber, on to business ownership of Bob's Body Shop, Auto Fasteners and Paint Suppliers (ART, Inc) and Ad Fad Specialties. He was a member, teacher, song leader and held eldership at the Gardiner Lane Church of Christ.

His loves included the Lord's church and its work, his family, friends and business associates.

Over the years he enjoyed singing (and playing the guitar), pot lucks and get together with pinnacle tournaments, coaching and playing softball, playing golf and the latest sport: mexican train night with dear friends Jack and Gail.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents and brothers; James Harbison, D. Vernon Harbison, Sr., and Joseph Harbison, Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 yrs Mary Jane Stearns Harbison.

His children, Robert (Rob) Harbison, Jr. (Susan), Sheri Money (Fireball) and Traci Endicott (sep. Dwayne).

His grandchildren, Heather Robinson (Paul), Lindsay Gomez (Antonio), Nick Harbison (Cerena), Erika Swift (Jarrod), Derik Smith (Katie), Jerid Smith (Jenny), and Jessica Penning (Shane).

His great grandchildren, Titus and Janlea, Brooklyn, Janeah, Amya and Isra, Analeia and Ezra, Ruby and Mason, Brylee and Aria, Memphis, Hans, and Jordan.

Visitation is Monday, February 2, 2026 from 2-7pm and Tuesday, February 3, 2026 from 11-1pm at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky. The funeral service is at 1pm Tuesday, February 3, 2026 with burial at Evergreen Cemetery to follow at 3pm.
