Mary Boemker Obituary
She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Frankfort, KY, and a proud graduate of St. Lawrence grade school (Louisville), Western High School (Louisville), and Western Kentucky University, where she earned two Masters Degrees.
Mary Dee was a retired Medicaid Specialist for the State of Kentucky. She was a Special Olympics Kentucky volunteer, Frankfort Civitan member, and Elks Lodge member.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Martha Bibelhauser Boemker, and her brother-in-law, Raymond Vanover II.
Left to cherish her memories are her siblings, Joan Corrigan (Brian), Phyllis Vanover, Susan Caschera (Tim), Mike Boemker (Aprill), and Donnie Boemker; nieces and nephews, Stephen Peery (Kourtney), Rachael Johnston (Shane), Maureen Corrigan (Ryane), Carly George (Cody), Danielle Boemker, and Evan Boemker; great nieces and nephews, Everly, Emilia, Parker, Barrett, and Patton; and her many friends and family.
Her Memorial Service will be 11 A.M. Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Ratterman Southwest 4832 Cane Run Rd. Memorial Visitation will be
3 P.M.to 8 P.M. Friday, February 6, 2026, and 9 A.M. until the time of service Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Special Olympics Kentucky, 105 Lakeview Ct., Frankfort, KY 40601 or Civitan, c/o Renee Moss, 504 Collings Landing, Frankfort, KY 40601.

Mary Dee was the sweetest person who never had an unkind word to say and was always positive. She will be missed by MANY!! May we all be more like Mary Dee!!

Mary Dee belonged to many groups at Good Shepherd Catholic in Frankfort, and I was blessed to know her from blue Army, Singing Praises, and Choir. She was strong in her Faith, and trusted Our Lord. Although she suffered much, she was always positive and helped others. Mary Dee was very independent and determined to do for herself. She encouraged so many of us by her cheerful attitude, sweet smile, sense of humor, and beautiful angelic voice! . My sincere condolences to all the family, may you all be comforted.
