DAVID HURST Obituary
He was born on June 14, 1944 in Pineville, Kentucky to the late David and Nevada Hurst.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Kathy Brambley and his son Barry Wayne Hurst.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Carolyn Sue Hurst, daughter Beth Ann Hurst, grandson Anthony Wayne Hurst, all of Pineville, Kentucky, brother Steve Hurst (Delores) of Middlesboro, Kentucky, and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
Wayne was a longtime member and deacon of Blue Ridge Baptist Church.
The family of David Wayne Hurst will receive friends Wednesday, March 18, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Blue Ridge Missionary Baptist Church.
Funeral services will take place at noon with Rev. Ray Smith and Rev. Chuck Taylor presiding. Music will be provided by Tawanna Grimm.
Graveside services will follow at the Hurst Cemetery in the Blue Ridge Community in Pineville, Kentucky.
