David Huseby died peacefully on August 19, 2025, surrounded by his family in Duluth, MN.
He was born in Two Harbors (1933) to Esther and Carl Huseby growing up near Schroeder in Cook County, MN.
David married the love of his life, Thea, in 1952, and together they raised two children, Kathy and Diane.
He was a lifelong, proud member of Operating Engineers Local 49 Union.
An avid outdoorsman, David enjoyed fishing, hiking, hunting, snowmobiling, camping, and especially traveling with Thea. He will always be remembered for cutting wood and tinkering in his garage.
David was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Esther Huseby, brothers Donald and Leo, and sisters Paula and Carla.
He is survived by his wife, Thea; daughters Kathy (P.J.) Kennedy and Diane (Vern) Booth; grandchildren Joshua (Amy) Kennedy, Chris Kennedy, and Katie Sorlie; great-grandchildren Anja and Gwen Kennedy and Aiden Sorlie.
Beloved husband, father, grandpa, and great-grandpa, he will be missed and live in our hearts and minds forever.
