David Jackson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Feldhaus Memorial Chapel - Shelbyville on Feb. 28, 2024.
David Lee Jackson, a beautiful soul, beloved husband, son, father, brother and friend released his spirit to our Heavenly Father on February 26, 2024.
His trail of beautiful memories resides in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
David was born on October 24, 1960 in Pittsburg, PA, to Faith and Ron Jackson. They moved to Tucker, GA where David grew to be an exceptional sportsman. As a young child, he hit some of the longest home runs ever hit at the Tucker Little League Park. At Tucker H.S., he excelled at football and track leading to a football scholarship at Delta State University.
After graduating from Delta State, he returned to Atlanta to begin a career with The Home Depot. He quickly rose to store manager and won 'Rookie of the Year' from among all Home Depot store managers in his first year of management. Later, he became a consistently recognized supervisor/manager for Shaw Industries.
David was a strong, outgoing man with an exceptional sense of humor, contagious motivated attitude and a consummate lover of the outdoors. He loved spending time with his family and friends fishing, duck hunting, and watching his beloved Georgia Bulldogs make their way to Championships.
He is survived by his wife Susan Jackson (Rocky Face, GA), his son,
David Lee Jackson, Jr. (Atlanta), step-daughter Holly Wood (Rocky Face, GA) his parents Ron and Faith Jackson (Normandy, TN), and his brother and sister-in-law, Ken and Jody Jackson (Chattanooga, TN) and his beloved cat, Honeybun.
Rest in Peace, David Jackson. You are healed.
Your beautiful soul will eternally be in our hearts... until we meet again... in Heaven.
Graveside services will be 1:30 PM Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Fosterville Cemetery. Reverend Jeff Adcock will officiate.
The family will receive visitors 11 AM until 1:00 PM Saturday at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel.
