Tammy Maria Nix age 54, of Shelbyville TN passed away peacefully on December 14, 2025, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Tammy was born on February 26, 1971, in Fayetteville, Tennessee and raised mostly in Shelbyville. Tammy was a free spirit with a beautiful soul. She had a big heart and was known for always putting others before herself. Family meant everything to her, and she especially cherished her daughter and grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Tammy's beauty shined both inside and out, she never met a stranger and never let anyone go without if she could help it. -she loved to talk, laugh, and share stories with anyone willing to listen, especially about her brothers and sister whom she loved with all her heart. Tammy lived her life one day at a time and when she passed she knew how much she was truly loved

She is preceded in death by her father Thomas "Harold" Nix and her nephew Christopher Jarrett Nix. She is survived by her loving daughter Megan Able of Shelbyville, her son Michael Lee Baucom; her mother, Wanda Lee Griffin Nix; her sisters, Janice Prince Pope (Charles), Nicole "Nikki" Chavis (Caleb Sr.); her brothers, Harold "Ray" Nix, Thomas Paul Nix "Tommy"(Lori), Brian Harden (Michelle), Michael Reeves (Annette), and Ronald Christopher Nix; and her treasured grandchildren, Jayda, Sophia, and Christian Hosmer. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

Tammy's legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness will live on through all who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
