David A. Jacobs, Jr., 77, passed away peacefully August 5, 2025. Born in Akron, Ohio to David and Lorraine Jacobs, he was a lifelong area resident. David's favorite pastime was dancing with Sanda, the love of his life. He was very accomplished in martial arts and was an expert chess player. David played the guitar, entertaining people in coffee shops. He attended many meditation workshops and also sang with the Akron Symphony Chorus.
David will be sadly missed by his partner, Sanda Katila; siblings, Robert "Jake" (Jo) Jacobs, Diane (Dale) Bryant, Denise (Dewey) Hornsby; nephews, Jon, Jason, Zachary, Derek, Trevor.
Family and friends are invited to visit Wednesday, August, 13, 2025 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial donations in David's name to Ohio Living Home Health & Hospice - Greater Akron.
