David Jacobs Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sunset Funeral Home, Cremation Center & Cemetery on Jan. 24, 2025.
David W "Tattoo" Jacobs, born on the vibrant autumn day of October 28, 1967, embarked on his final journey on December 24, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and indomitable spirit. His life was a testament to the power of passion and the importance of family, which he cherished above all. David's road through life was as adventurous and full of character as the man himself, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Tattoo, as he was affectionately known, was a man of the open road. His career as an over-the-road truck driver was more than a job; it was his canvas, and he painted it with the colors of every sunrise and sunset he chased across the country. His work ethic was unparalleled, and his association with fellow drivers evolved into a brotherhood that extended far beyond the highways they shared.
But David's passions were not confined to the cab of his truck. He was a masterful creator with his hands, a true artisan in woodworking and building. In his workshop, sawdust and laughter mixed freely, and his creations were as much a part of his soul as his boisterous laugh. He was also a man who respected the power and precision of guns, seeing them as both a hobby and a heritage to be honored with responsibility.
David's family was the cornerstone of his world. He was a guiding star to his beloved daughter, Tiffany Julian, and her daughters, Kinzie and Zaelee, who will carry his strength and joy into the future. His sons, David Lee Julian (Kirsten) and Chris Julian (Savannah), along with eight other grandchildren, were the pride of his life, each a unique story that he loved to tell. David's mother, Margaret Armstrong Jacobs, his sister, Susan Frazier (Walt), his brother, Ron Jacobs (Robin), and his niece, Teah Jacobs, all held special places in his heart.
Though predeceased by his father, James "JJ" Jacobs, and siblings Diana Crouch and Brian Jacobs, David's legacy is one of enduring love and presence that continues to resonate through his family's lives.
David W "Tattoo" Jacobs lived a life that inspired, a life that urged us all to drive our own roads with purpose and joy. His journey may have come to rest, but his story, his laughter, and his love are eternal, fueling the lives of those he touched with the courage to live fully and love deeply.
