David A. JASKY, born on May 10, 1980, in Parma, Ohio, left this world too soon September 9, 2025.
He was a well-loved husband, father, son, brother, and friend who nurtured connections with everyone he met, leaving a lasting imprint on their hearts. David was a devoted husband to Amy Pongallo-Jasky, and together they built a beautiful family, cherishing moments that created a lifetime of memories. His children—Justice Pongallo, Joshua Pongallo, Alaynna Jasky, and Alexander Jasky—were the cornerstone of his life. David found immense joy in being their father, sharing his passions of kayaking and spending quality time with them, whether it was taking trips to the zoo or just being present in their everyday lives. His love was further amplified with the arrival of his grandson, Aevious Pongallo, who brought an extra sparkle to his already vibrant existence.
The heart of David's personality shone brightly in his kindness and generosity. His love for helping others was evident through his many volunteer hours at Stella Maris, where he selflessly offered a helping hand to those in need. David had a remarkable ability to remember people’s names, effortlessly making friends wherever he went. His humor—marked by a delightful blend of fun and sarcasm—made him a beacon of light and laughter; he truly loved to make people laugh, and his infectious spirit encouraged those around him to find joy in the little things.
In addition to his wife and children, David is survived by his loving mother, Nancy Helyes (Larry), and three wonderful sisters: Traci Foley (Tim), Allison Nash (Joe), and Elise Clarke (Brett). He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews and his loving grandmother, Elaine Jasky. He is preceded in death by his father, Alan Jasky, and his beloved grandparents, Albert Jasky, Walter and Maxine Plotz, and Fritz and Ruth Helyes. In memorializing David, we celebrate a life filled with laughter, compassion, and love for family.
