Thomas Walter Jasky, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2025, at the age of 79. A longtime resident of Shelby Township, Tom was born on January 20, 1946, in Hamtramck, Michigan, to the late Walter Louis and Sonia Theresa (née Yaronski) Jaskiewicz.
A graduate of aeromechanics school, Tom built a long and distinguished career as a manufacturing engineer. Known for his keen intellect, problem-solving skills, and dedication to his craft, he spent decades in the automotive industry before retiring just two years ago. Retirement allowed Tom to focus on what he truly loved-his family, his hobbies, and enjoying the simple pleasures of life.
Tom was a golfer and enjoyed keeping active, especially exercising alongside his son. He also cherished playtime with the family dog, but his greatest joy came from the time he spent with his loved ones. Whether it was a family gathering, a quiet moment at home, or just sharing a laugh, Tom had an unmatched ability to brighten any room. His quick wit and perfectly timed jokes brought levity to even the most serious situations, and his sense of humor will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
Tom leaves behind his devoted wife, Linda Jasky, and his loving children: Randy (Stephanie) Jasky, Jeff Jasky, Amanda (Brad) Beloungea, and Steven Jasky. He was the proud grandfather of Riley Jasky, Laila Jasky, Louis Beloungea, William Beloungea, Benjamin Beloungea, and Evelyn Beloungea, and great-grandfather of Mila. He is also survived by his dear sister, Diane Green. Tom was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Patricia McKernan.
Visitation for Tom will be held from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, May 30, 2025 at Gramer Funeral Home, Diener Chapel, 48271 Van Dyke Avenue, Shelby Township, Michigan, 48317. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at the same location. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Thomas, please visit our floral store.
