David Jaye, 68, of Lakewood, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. Born in Newark, New Jersey, he resided in Iselin for 32 years, spent a brief time in Milford, Delaware, and made Lakewood his home four years ago.

David built a successful career as an accomplished brick salesman and later found great fulfillment working at Home Depot, where he valued both the work and the friendships he formed. He loved fishing at local lakes with his beloved wife, Tery, and took pride in raising generations of cherished pugs. In his free time, he enjoyed playing card games, especially blackjack with his family and was known for his sharp wit and competitive spirit.

A devoted father, David treasured the years he spent coaching his children's baseball and softball teams. He also proudly served as President of the Iselin Athletic Baseball and Softball Association, generously dedicating his time to supporting and mentoring young athletes in the community. Intelligent, bold, and steadfast in his beliefs, David lived with conviction. Above all, he was deeply caring and nurturing, faithfully tending to Tery throughout her illness.

David was predeceased by his wife, Tery Jaye, in 2020. He is survived by his children, Trevor Jaye and Ashley Bosgra and her husband, Joseph; his brothers, Allan Jaye and his husband, Mark Calderoni, and Thomas Jaye; and his nieces and nephews, Kelsey, Amanda, Matthew, and Anthony.

In lieu of flowers, donations in David's memory may be made to Snort Rescue, P.O. Box 6104, Hoboken, NJ 07030, or by visiting www.snortrescue.org.
