David Martin Kahler Jr.

David Martin Kahler, Jr. 1966 - 2021 Gastonia - David Martin Kahler, Jr., 55 passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center. He was born on July 27, 1966, in Dauphin, PA to the late David Martin Kahler, Sr., and Sally Ann Maurer Kahler. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Jeff Kahler. David was in law enforcement for many years for the Town of Dallas Police Department and later worked in the Planning, Zoning, and Code Enforcement. He later retired from the Town of Dallas after many years of dedicated service. David was a member of Chapel Grove Baptist Church; served as a Sunday School Teacher and enjoyed singing in the choir. He enjoyed watching good movies, softball, fantasy football, and baseball. He was a Past Master of the Gaston Lodge #263. David was a graduate of Southern Guilford High School and Gardner Webb University. He loved to read, sometimes reading two books at one time. He was a wonderful loving man who was adored and respected by so many. David is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Farrar Kahler; his four sons, Benjamin (Brittany) and their children, Beau and Brynn; Jacob Kahler, Zachary Kahler, and Seth Kahler; brothers, Harold (Julie) Kahler; Daniel (Angie) Kahler, and Aundrey Kahler; sister, Jennifer Kahler; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 10th at Chapel Grove Baptist Church, 716 Camp Rotary Road, Gastonia, NC 28054. Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be at 2:00 p. m, Saturday, December 11th at Chapel Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Seth Barkley officiating.
