David Michael "Mike" Keen, 72, of Winter Springs, Florida (formerly of Jonesboro, Georgia) passed away on December 13, 2025.
Mike was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on January 29, 1953 to Marion and Paula (Harbin) Keen. He graduated from Southport High School in 1971 and earned his B.A. from Indiana University (IU) in 1975. Mike then attended IU School of Law, earning his J.D. degree in 1978.
On November 28, 1975 Mike married Catherine "Cathy" Chell at Southport Heights Christian Church in a small ceremony surrounded by close friends and family before honeymooning in St. Louis, Missouri, watching IU defeat UCLA in the first basketball game of the season. Go Hoosiers!
After a two year stint at a private law firm in Indianapolis, Mike spent 36 years working as an attorney at Delta Airlines in Atlanta, Georgia.
Mike lived an active lifestyle, biking, jogging, boating, and playing tennis throughout his life. He enjoyed Saturday morning tennis matches with the Northland Tennis Group. He was also a passionate IU basketball fan, and more recently football. He and Cathy supported animal rescue and loved their pets.
Mike and Cathy traveled extensively together and with their two children, Ryan and Robyn, instilling in them a passion to see and experience the world.
His memory will always be cherished by Cathy, his wife of fifty years; son Ryan Keen of Atlanta, Georgia; daughter Robyn Keen and her husband Rippy of Winter Park, Florida; sister Lisa Keen Mills and her husband David of West Lafayette, Indiana; sister in law Ellen Keen of Portland, Oregon; and many nieces and nephew.
Mike was preceded in death by his older brother, Don Keen, and his parents.
