David Dennis Kemper
Beech Bluff, Tennessee
Dennis Kemper, age 69, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at his home.
He was born on April 30, 1953 in Salinas, California to the late Joe Kemper and Juanita Mitchell Glaze.
Since 1995, Dennis was very active in 12 Step Recovery where he took time to help others find the miracle he found. He was spiritual in nature, looking for answers to feed his soul. Dennis would be celebrating his twenty-eighth sobriety anniversary this February. He enjoyed cooking and playing with recipes, playing the guitar, painting in his spare time and aggravating the ones he loved.
In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by three of his brothers, Tommy Kemper, Kris Kemper and Robin Kemper.
He is survived by his son, Elmer Kemper (Heather) of Beech Bluff, Tennessee; daughter, Amanda Kemper (Tim) of Salinas, California; brother, Josh Kemper (Lisa) of Salinas, California; and three sisters, Gay Fretwell (Jerry) of Salinas, California, Sally Reyes of Salinas, California and Pansy Rogers (Larry) of Gonzales, California.
Other survivors include four grandchildren, Lauren Scott, Evan Scott, Taryn Kemper and Amelia Lopp; several nieces and nephews; mother of his children and friend, Carla Kemper; and good friends, Dewayne Thielman (Pat) and Alan Caron.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
