David J. Kiger, 67, of Grayson, KY, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 7, 2025, at the UK Hospice Care Center in Lexington, KY. David was born on Saturday, May 25, 1957, the son of the late David Ercel and Jewel Boggs Kiger. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Debra Baldwin and one brother, Timothy Kiger. David served his country honorably in the United States Air Force and retired after twenty-two years of active service. David also obtained certification in tool and die making. After his military career, David worked ten years for the Cintas Corporation. David was very mechanically minded and liked working on vehicles. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, a good joke, and pulling pranks on those he loved. David often enjoyed cooking with his wife, especially fixing breakfast for his family. David is survived by his loving wife of forty-eight years, Rebecca "Becky" Bowling Kiger; two daughters, Carrie (Scott) Mulhearn of Bells Trace; five grandchildren, Richie Nugent, Haley (Jake Conn) Riggs, Alayna Kiger, Zac Mulhearn, and Isaac David Boggs; and a host of extended family and friends that will mourn his passing. To honor David's wishes, services will be private. Malone Funeral Home is both honored and privileged to be entrusted with the arrangements.
