Died: May 3, 2025 in Ottawa, IL
David "Michael" King, 54, of Ottawa, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at his home of natural causes.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, May, 7, 2025 at the Mueller Funeral Home, Ottawa.
David was born on June 8, 1970 in Independence, MO to Nola Kelly. David graduated from Northern Illinois University, Dekalb with a bachelor's degree. David was an avid Cubs fan, but most of all he loved his kids and grandchildren, always giving out grandpa candy.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra; his four children, Taylor (Richard) Aaron of Ottawa, Marissa (Ryan) Young-Farris of Crest Hill, Drew and Nolan King of Joliet; and his brother, Shane (Alea) Kelly of Athens, GA.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Nola Kelly and his brother, Patrick.
Memorials may be directed to the National Kidney Foundation.

My heart goes out to you all. My first memory was at a family reunion down by the river. I remember thinking ..what a sweet man. Meeting some family for the first time was great but, he stood out as if we had known each other for years. Rest in Peace cousin
