David Wayne Kleb, 73, of Houston, Texas, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, February 9, 2026.
Born on September 13, 1952, at Hermann Hospital in Houston. David was raised in Houston and was the son of Ewald P. Kleb Jr. and Myrtle Kleb.
He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Kleb; granddaughter, Courtney Knopp (Trey); great-granddaughter, Charlee; brothers, Derryl Kleb (Susan) and Donald Kleb; and sisters, Janis Duvall (Dennis) and Jennifer Anderson (Joel).
David attended Waltrip High School in 1968 then to Reagan High School where he graduated in 1970. He played baseball and earned the nickname "Tiny." At the time of his passing, he was working in roofing with Quick Roofing.
A lifelong lover of music and acting, David dreamed big and pursued opportunities that allowed him to express his creativity and connect with others. He gained many friendships along the way and left a lasting impression on those he met.
A man of Christian faith, David was a spiritual individual who was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and School and later attended Chapelwood Methodist Church, Lakewood & Second Baptist. He was an advocate for those in recovery, offering wisdom, sponsorship, counseling, and mentorship. He took pride in living a healthier life and helping others seek a better way forward.
David enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time at his friends' ranches all over, where he found peace and fellowship.
David Wayne Kleb will be remembered for his heart, faith, love of music, and dedication to helping others.

I always looked up to and loved David and called him Dave Elvis because he loved the King and sang like him. He was an amazing outdoorsman and always caught the biggest fish and shot the biggest deer. He inspired me to learn to surf and I still do. He will always be loved and remembered. He was and always will be the coolest. Love you MAN.
